Leaky roofing and leaky pipes can cause a lot of damage to a house. If you don't act quickly, these two problems can result in major repairs that can get quite costly and complicated. My blog will show you how to identify these problem areas and how to judge the severity of the damage sustained. Having restored a few homes over the years before selling them, I have a lot of experience working with water damaged homes. I hope that all of the information that I have included here in this blog will help you get through the process with fewer issues.
Having a washing and drying machine makes doing laundry highly convenient. However, it can become quite frustrating when one or the other is not functioning properly, especially the dryer. Once the clothes are wet, you want to be sure that they are dried right away. If the clothes aren't dried right away, moisture can build on the fabric, leaving the clothes smelling bad, which leaves you having to wash the clothes all over again. If your clothes are not drying in the dryer, here are three reasons why this could be:
Air Flow is Restricted:
When the air flow is restricted, it can prevent the clothes from drying
The blower wheel in the dryer is what forces air in and out. This can become clogged with lint and other debris, which just means that it will need to be cleaned in order to provide proper air flow in the dryer. However, the issue could also be that there is a disconnection between the blower and the motor forcing the blower not to function at full speed. If this is the case, you will want to hire professionals to replace the blower wheel for you.
Clogged Lint Filter:
The dryer filter needs to be cleaned out after each load of laundry. However, even if you are doing this, it doesn't mean that the filter cannot cause any problems. This is because the lint filter can build up residue from the fabric softeners you include in each dryer cycle. If the problem is the lint filter, but there doesn't appear to be built up lint, then it could be that the lint filter needs to be replaced because of the built up residue.
If you have tried the above three things to fix your dryer and it still isn't drying your clothes properly, it's best to call in the professionals to provide repairs for you. To learn more, speak with a company like House Calls Appliance Repair.Share
